Description
From the beginning of LHC Run 3, the LHCb experiment is using a two-stage full software trigger, improving LHCb physics reach and also allowing much higher system flexibility. This talk will describe the LHCb trigger system design and main changes implemented during the design stage, as well as those implemented during Run 3. Subsequently, a review of general trigger performance and operations will be presented, including day-to-day operations aspects and also a more hidden layer of software development, maintenance and deployment.
